Measuring For A Cock Ring

To find the ideal ring size, simply measure around the base of the erect shaft with soft measuring tape or a piece of string to find the circumference of the penis. While fully erect, position the measuring tape or piece of string at the base of the shaft, where it meets the pubic bone. Without squeezing the shaft with the tape or string, gently wrap the penis once around for a girth measurement.

How to use one
It's best to put the Cock Ring on when you are semi-hard - grab your penis in one hand and position the cock ring at the base. Make sure it's not pinching and that it feels comfortable. The ring's stretch a lot and can comfortably accommodate many sizes. They are also waterproof and are safe to use in the shower or bath and are compatible with all condoms and lubricants. Cock Rings are entirely safe to use, as long as you don’t leave one on for more than 30 mins at a time or take enhancing pills while using one. They should fit snugly, but not completely cut off blood flow.

Pleasure
With all of that blood flow, most guys experience an increase in sensitivity throughout the penis. For me, wearing a cock-ring increases the sensitivity quite a bit, enhancers the sensation when erect and can increase the feeling for the sexual partner also. It doesn't matter if I have a cock-ring on or not: if I'm not staying aroused, blood flow stops and my member is going soft.

Stamina
Assisting the penis in retaining its increased blood volume will help with stamina and staying power in some men. Again, every penis is different.

Safety
As with any sex toy or device, cock-rings are safe if you use them correctly. No matter if you're using an appropriately sized ring safely and properly, you must not wear a cock-ring any longer than 1hour. After a few hours of having an erection for any reason (constriction, pharmaceutical drugs or herbal products, or even just being that roused for an extensive period) can cause permanent and irreversible nerve and vascular damage to the penis. Also, I mention appropriate size because even short periods of too much constriction can cause similar damage.

PS! note on penis pumps: These are used used in conjunction with cock-rings. You slip the ring on, and then use the vacuum pump to force the blood flow into the penis which is retained with the aid of the ring. Use those properly, too. Over-engorging the penis manually in such a fashion can cause a lot of damage!

Types of rings
There are two basic kinds of cock-rings, and some of the sophisticated ones are various combinations and variations on these: One is designed to go around the base of the penis, resting on the underside between the shaft and the scrotum. The other design has the ring resting on the bottom behind the scrotum, between your scrotum and perineum (the area between your scrotum and anus). Both setups have their pros and cons. Past these two basic types, you have cages and multi-ring harness setups... there are a lot of different kinds.

Materials
Cock-rings come in many different type of materials. Two types: elastic and hard. Rubber, latex and silicone rings that have noticeable elasticity are the elastic types. They are very common and the safest to use if you have the right size. Rings that are made of metal, hard plastic or hard non-elastic rubbers are the hard ones. These can be dangerous since you might run into a situation where the penis swells around the ring; if this happens, you might not get it off, which will constrict and can cause swelling. People who don't know how to use these rings properly often have to make a very embarrassing visit to the ER to have them cut off. Don’t let this be you! Do your research :)
